Responsible for liaison relationships with national organizations re: potential partnerships serving persons with serious mental illness
Responsible for initiating / maintaining relationships with Medicaid / Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities leadership at the state level, assessing their near - term and mid - term needs, and communicating them to our solutions and growth teams. Also work closely with Optum Government Affairs state liaisons. Support growth team opportunities at state and county level
Serve as liaison to Optum Behavioral Solutions marketing unit re: thought leadership articles, webinars, and newsletter submissions to sponsorship publications
Serve on national advocacy boards
Provide between 5 - 10 presentations a year at national / state conferences, specifically cultivating opportunities in states and counties with upcoming RFPs as part of brand awareness / brand differentiator messaging in targeted states
Leverage extensive professional and personal network to gain entry to key meetings and relationships
Relationship management is key component of job
Drive new opportunities between $10M - $100M to State government clients
Maintain national and state contact databases - update monthly
Masters in related field
15+ years in leading business development for public Mental Health or Developmental Disabilities
Proven and successful background in driving new opportunities between $10M - $100M to State government clients
Ability to travel extensively
- PhD preferred in public health administration or business administration
