Global Life Science Company located in the Waltham area seeks a Director of Technical Accounting. The person in the seat was recently promoted to head up a new division, this role will manage 2 Senior Managers and report into the Assistant Controller (assistant controller/corporate controller are both ex- Big 4 Sr. Managers). This position provides leadership and technical guidance and will act as a "subject matter expert" on all technical topics, responsible for research, documentation, implementation of IFRS pronouncements as well as working with the divisional teams and parent company in the areas of technical accounting and financial reporting. CPA, 10+ years' related experience with prior "Big 4" public accounting experience highly preferred. Life Sciences or Medical Manufacturing industry experience desired. CPA required 10+ years of related experience including 6+ years of prior "Big 4" public accounting experience. Strong knowledge of SEC reporting, revenue recognition and financial statement analysis. Very strong business partnering and relationship management skills Excellent written and oral communication skills.
