Kapsch TrafficCom is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for our Secaucus, NJ office. The HR Generalist will perform the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office carrying out responsibilities in  HR management & administration,  including disability management and WC claims management for the Company.    This role will be responsible for overseeing the Company’s Benefits Administration Company acting as the key interface on day to day activities.  This role may be ideally suited to an individual experienced with benefit program administration who has transitioned to an HR administration role and is therefore comfortable working in both functions.
 
Duties and responsibilities include:
Benefits Administration
  • Acts as key interface with the company’s third party benefits administrator and is responsible for all associated transactional activities and data management
  • Acts as the key interface with the company’s 401K, and is responsible for all associated transactional activities and data management primary  
  • Directly administers  a full-cycle disability claims administration process , including employee workplace accommodation initiatives and workers compensation programs  
  • Serves as the main point of contact for employees and third party agencies
  • Monitor and maintain the policy and process related to the Company’s group benefit process and recommends policy, process and training programs related to same
HR Management & Administration
  • Handles  the day to day HR administration activities (multi-State) and monitors employee and manager compliance to HR policy
  • Supports and leads (as appropriate) the development, implementation and communication of human resources policies, processes and systems
  • Supports the development and implementation of HR training initiatives including new hire orientations and training on HR employee tools (Dayforce HCM)
  • Supports the efforts of the internal recruiter  in the administration of a Company- wide recruiting and hiring strategy 

Job Requirements

Qualified Candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a Business discipline with at least 3 years of experience in the field of Human Resources.  In lieu of a degree, experience in an HR position with at least 5 years of experience will be considered. Experience in a multi-State organization is a must.     In addition to the minimum qualifications detailed above the successful candidate will have experience in a multi-faceted HR role and must be proficient in Word & Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP tables).    The successful candidate will be required to research, draft and submit a brief writing sample.   Travel requirements approximately 10%.
