Machine Operator - Manufacturing
Education/Experience:
- Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous manufacturing and machine operation experience.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, diagrams, or assembly instructions.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects up to 20 pounds.
- Able to learn how to operate basic machinery (ex. Plasma table, slear, etc.)
- Able to work with a positive attitude and in a team setting.
Job Description:
A Machine Operator (I) for Lennox AES at our Tallassee, AL location is responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of various machinery, ensuring efficient production processes and meeting quality standards. This role may involve setting up machines, conducting troubleshooting, contributing to process improvement initiatives, and assisting in other areas.
The Compensation for this position is $18.50 per hour. (Opportunity for consistent overtime weekly!)
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Operate assigned machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Set up machines for production runs, including loading materials and adjusting settings.
- Monitor machine outputs to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and any issues encountered.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Identify and troubleshoot basic machine malfunctions.
- Perform basic, routine maintenance on machines to ensure they operate smoothly.
