Overview

Vision Solar is seeking a Solar Service and Inspections Manager that is a professional who is focused on managing a team of 10+ in order to coordinate site visits, inspections and service repairs. The ISM will also ensure service crews and inspection sitters have a dense and efficient schedule. In collaboration with Installation Managers, a Service and Inspections Manager ensures new cvodes or AHJ requirements are being communicated to the installation crews and QC department. The ISM will oversee that our customers' systems are successful in passing inspection by the local AHJ in a timely manner by effectively deploying and managing their team of service technicians, admins and inspection sitters. . A Service and Inspections Manager works directly with operation leaders to drive service repairs to completion, and report challenges to the Regional Field Manager which may prevent the team from meeting key results. 

Responsibilities

• Time management and planning

• Knowledge of Salesforce

• Fundamental reporting and Microsoft Excel skills

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Strong organizational skills and a high attention to detail

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and de escalate customers that have experienced extended timelines 

• Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment as needed

• Strong, effective written and verbal communication skills, both internally as well as with customers and partners

• Extreme ownership of responsibilities and accomplishing goals

• Liaising with Operations and engineers to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise

• Statistical and mathematical skills and ability to apply such knowledge in practical situations when determining install durations and crew utilization 

• Build relationships with local AHJs to optimize timelines

• Licensed Electrician preferred

Qualifications

Solar experience is required 

• Strong managerial skills (ability to coach and mentor)

• Solar Service/Troubleshooting Skills

• Work well will Installation Mgmt and QC team for optimization

• Ability to work with local inspectors and discuss code to get inspections passed
