Description of Work Unit: CEMML is a research, education, and service unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources at CSU. CEMML promotes the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on Department of Defense and other public lands.
Position Summary: A Land Rehabilitation and Maintenance (LRAM) Heavy Equipment Operator Supervisor (HEO) position is available with Colorado State University and the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML) to be located at Fort Sill, OK. This position will operate and oversee operation of heavy equipment for LRAM projects, focusing on soil stabilization and vegetation management on Army lands.
Required Job Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience.
- 2 years professional experience.
- A High school Diploma, General Education Development (GED), or equivalent.
- Experience with running and maintaining heavy equipment.
- Physically able to work outdoors and perform strenuous labor under all weather conditions.
- Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one by the employment start date.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. by proposed start date.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience in soil stabilization, land clearing, site preparation, and work site revegetation.
- Experience with land rehabilitation and erosion control practices.
- A CDL is preferred but not required.

Job Duties:
- Execute heavy equipment operation tasks for LRAM projects.
- Perform operational maintenance and inspections on equipment.
- Supervise full-time and seasonal employees.
- Track projects for monthly/quarterly reports.
- Fulfill other duties as necessary.
