Compensation: $15 - 19/hr

Medix Scientific of New Jersey is looking to hire manufacturing/ chemical compounders/ machine operators to work on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift in a pharmaceutical/flavor and fragrance/lab environment. We are looking for reliable & hard-working individuals who would like a foot in the door to a rapidly growing manufacturing company. These positions offer benefits, paid-time-off, and a 401k option! These positions pay $15 - 19/hr based on the job title & years of experience!

Job Description:
1) Controls equipment that processes raw materials into intermediate compounds for use in manufacture of dyestuffs and pharmaceutical products: Using balance scales and volume indicators
2) Shovels or pumps derivatives into specified containers
3) Observes recording instruments, and adjusts steam, water, and vacuum valves to regulate temperature and pressure during chemical reactions that produce specified intermediates
4) Tests acidity of intermediates, using pH indicators
5) Tests solubility of intermediates in liquids, such as water, alcohol, and chloroform
6) Adds specified chemicals to intermediates to ensure that they meet requirements
7) Dumps ice into intermediates to reduce temperature
8) Pumps intermediates through filter to remove liquid residue
9) Heats intermediates and circulates vapors through condenser lines to isolate components of intermediates
10) May be designated according to equipment tended as Kettle Operator II; Tub Operator; process involved as Bromination Equipment Operator; Sulfonation Equipment Operator; or material produced as Optical-Brightener Maker

Job Description (Shipping / Receiving / Warehouse)
•Receiving raw materials by unloading trucks and containers, sampling incoming materials for QC evaluation, and put-away & inventory management of materials using RF scanner.
*Must follow all procedures and conduct themselves in a safe and professional manner at all times
*To greet driver, verify driver safety checklist, verify & confirm documents for accuracy and then unload the trailers and containers of materials
*To perform the Incoming Sampling Process on received materials which requires verification of multiple data points, applying corresponding labels accurately, extracting samples from the containers, finalizing and capturing the sample data in SAP
*To accurately perform the put-away and retrieval process of materials in the warehouse and the delivery of the needed materials to specific locations in Production by use of an RF Scanner
*To accurately perform the task of replenishing fixed bin locations using multiple types of pumps as required
*Execute SAP transactions to request material for replenishments and transfers
*Return excess material to a warehouse location
*Perform all warehouse operations including, but not limited to, material movements, SAP transactions, ingredient sampling, reservoir replenishments, pumping, transferring and cleaning
*Compound as required by production demand and work flow
*Responsible for safe operation of fork lift to retrieve materials from the warehouse when necessary
*Maintain safe working environment, utilize appropriate safety equipment and proactively improve the safety culture of the department
*Maintain processing area and equipment in a clean, sanitary and presentable condition; adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and exemplary housekeeping standards
*Ability and willingness to work as part of a team to solve problems, develop procedures, and recommend improvements
*Perform other duties as assigned
