Who You Are...
As a precast Production Operations Intern you have the unique opportunity to become an integral part of the precast operations team at LB Foster. Under the direction of the Manager, this position will be involved in various aspects of production, quality, and continuous improvement projects.
This is a paid internship and is in-person at a precast plant location.
This position requires you to work 5 days per week, 8 hours per day. You are required to wear safety PPE including, hard hat, safety glasses, steel or composite toe boots, and hearing protection.
This Position...
Some examples of the work you might do includes....
* Review, update and redesign work instructions, standard operating procedures and other training materials as assigned.
* Aid in setting quality standards and inspections as required per ACI requirements.
* Work in various production departments to complete assigned projects.
* Other duties as assigned.
What Do You Need...
* Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in concrete industry management, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or related field.
* Rising sophomore, junior or senior.
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office suite skills. Experience in SharePoint a plus.
* Strong written and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage time with minimal supervision.
* Demonstrated analytical skills.
* Process orientated.
* Exercise a high level of confidentiality while working with sensitive information.
* Ability to work effectively in a team.
* Excellent attention to detail.
