Facilities Security Officer Specialist with Security Clearance
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Coordinate and monitor highly sensitive aspects of the DoD, Intelligence Community, or other industrial security programs and other security activities, ensuring compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
The individual shall have a strong familiarity with operational policies and requirements of various agencies (i.e.
DoD, DIA, HSI, DOJ, DOT) and other members of the Intelligence Community.
• Manage unarmed security guards.
• Provide operational briefs and special instructions to contracted after-hour guard force as needed.
• In the absence of security guard coverage, individual shall ensure the overall integrity of security of the facility is not compromised.
• Act as primary liaison with upper management and outside agencies.
Specifically, the Contractor shall interface with multiple outside agencies that NTC interacts with within the community that makes up the NTC Team.
• Coordinate with building management (currently, JBG Smith) or outside vendors for maintenance requests on behalf of the NTC (i.e, lightbulb replacement, water filter replacement, heat/air conditioning issues, etc).
This includes the 8th floor lobby and bathroom areas.
• Disseminate applicable messages from building management to all personnel assigned to the NTC or other organizations residing at Ste.
800 (i.e., planned power outages, parking/garage information, etc.).
• Proactively review and inspect the facility for any unforeseen issues or upcoming maintenance and service requests and notify the Chief of Staff (i.e., missing keys for lockers, safety equipment inspection, etc).
• Participate in escorting uncleared visitors related to facility or security matters.
This includes escorting for office renovations or classified paper destruction pickups ("burn bag" runs).
• Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION :
• High School Diploma.
• Successful completion of related DSS, DIA or SSO sponsored SCI Security Official Courses is highly preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience pertaining to the successful management and operation of a SCIF in accordance with the applicable security directives listed at 3.1 directly related to interacting with various agencies in administering security duties/requirements in the areas of Physical Security, Personnel Security, Information Security, Information Assurance and SCIF management operations.
• The ability to articulate both written and verbal communications in a professional manner with government and Contractor personnel at high levels.
• Ability to successfully articulate verbally as well as through written publications in the form of developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and security policies, and other publications as required.
• Working knowledge of property management/ inventory requirements.
• Be proficient in DISS, MS Office (Excel, Word) and have a working knowledge of Outlook Calendar features.
Coordinates and manages the activity schedule and reservations for conference room meetings.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE :
• Must be a U.S.
Citizen.
• Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.
