Lead Clinical Therapist

Childserv Chicago, IL (Onsite) Full-Time
Kids Above All is seeking a Lead Clinical Therapist with their LCSW or LCPC for our Chicago, IL office.

Job Summary: The Lead Clinical Therapist will provide training, support, and supervision for program staff, while also collaborating with external stakeholders and staff to ensure proper management and care of caseloads. Also responsible for providing resources and support through case management services. This position carries a caseload of 2-3 clients while assisting with program administration and staff development. This position also requires reviews AAPI documentation and screening tools, the supervision of intern staff and revision of documentations. The Lead Clinical Therapist ensures that client's rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights are always well established and maintained.

Essential Functions:

* Assist with supervision, support, and back-up to assigned Clinical Counseling Services staff in their work with children in therapeutic services. This includes work with the families, juvenile court, DCFS, early childhood, Emerge, and other collateral agencies and individuals
* Ensure mandated and appropriate services are provided
* Assist in the planning and scheduling of monthly training and meetings for staff and foster parents
* Participate in department supervisory team and individual supervision
* Manage and/or complete required record keeping activities for case files and reports
* Participates in other case-related meetings as required to support staff and advocate for clients needs
* Assist with identifying community resources to address client needs
* Provide evidence based clinical counseling services for children and families in regular, specialized or home-of-relative foster care programs with an emphasis on meeting the clients and psychosocial needs, and implementing a permanent living plan for each child;
* Act as a mentor for newly hired agency staff and interns
* Assist with training and orientation of new program staff

Qualifications:

* MA, AM, MSW, or ability to become clinically licensed in Illinois
* LCPC or LASW required
* Minimum three (3) years direct service experience with similar populations
* Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion and use sound, and independent judgment
* Must have a perceptive awareness and responses of children, adolescents, and the capacity to work effectively with adults
* Ability to work some evenings/weekends hours
* Must meet and maintain Agency driving standards
* Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word required
* Access to insured auto is preferred not required.
* The therapists are NOT required to have a car nor conduct home visits. All the visits will be at the office and virtual. Therapist roles are HYBRID positions.
