Production Team Leader – RAM - 1st Shift

General Summary:

The Team Leader assists the Supervisor withensuring that production of products meets or exceeds efficiency and companyquality standards. In addition, the Team Leader, in collaboration with theSupervisor, oversees and/or conducts training of new or existing employees andis responsible for communicating any performance issues with employees in thedepartment to the Supervisor or appropriate management personnel. The TeamLeader interprets specifications and job orders to employees, analyzing problemsand assigning duties. The Team Leader is responsible for educating andmonitoring all employees on all company safety policies and procedures toensure a safe work environment




  • Makes constant checks on production to ensure qualityof finished products and maintains surveillance over equipment and machineryand notifies supervisor or maintenance of any issues.

  • Establishes or adjusts work instructions and placementof employees to meet production schedules and goals.

  • Train current and new employees on machinery inapplicable areas, including LTV (Lock, Tag and Verify), Human Performance, 5s.

  • Participates in training and other activities that aredesigned to make improvements of facilities, equipment, or procedures toimprove safety, quality, and efficiency.

  • Assists in identifying repetitive issues and promotingproblem solving to root cause, focused on safety, quality and on timedelivery.  Perform TPM and 5S audits.

  • Helps develop Standard Operating Procedures byconducting time studies and evaluating job tasks.

  • Monitors employees to ensure they are following safetypolicies and procedures and also maintains a safe work environment for all ofour employees and keeps area neat and clean at all times.

  • Oversees and trains employees, including organizing,prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Ensures on-the-job training andsafety training are conducted for employees on methods and equipment used.

  • Fosters a cooperative team-based work environmentmotivating employees to achieve established goals and growth within thecompany.

  • Runs machines as required.



The Team Leader is instrumental in assistingthe Supervisor with overseeing employees, however this position is not directlyresponsible for the performance of the employees in the area. Carries out goalsand supervisory functions in accordance with the direction of the Supervisorand the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Performs all otherassignments, projects and duties as assigned. 

Experience andBackground:

  • Must have a general understanding of manufacturing andbe able to plan and think strategically.
  • Must have excellent leadership skills, organizationalskills, and a positive personality with strong awareness to diversity in theworkplace.

  • Must have knowledge of production and workflowprocedures and be familiar with quality control standards necessary to maintainsatisfactory levels of production.

  • Ability to make decisions quickly and develop a planof action to address issues arising with production changes or issues.

  • Knowledge of company and departmental organizationalstructure, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Must possess skills to communicate ideas andinstructions clearly and concisely and be able to coordinate effectively withmanagement, other supervisors, employees, and the public.

  • Ability to instruct employees in a positive manner,motivating employees to achieve established goals while working as a team.

  • Skill in the use of machinery and equipment in theassigned area preferred.

  • Must be capable of assuming increasingresponsibilities and also be flexible with work schedule and be available forworking overtime.


Basic Qualification

  • High School diploma or GED
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience working in amanufacturing environment or equivalent experience in a supervisory orleadership role.

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in theUnited States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at thetime of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • This position is subject to the International Trafficin Arms Regulation (ITAR) which required U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S.person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’),Political Asylee, or Refugee.
