QC Technician - Central
Lauren Concrete
Pflugerville, TX (Onsite)
Full-Time
: Actively promotes a work environment within the Quality Control and Operations Departments that consistently delivers a "World Class Experience" during the delivery of the concrete. Ensure that concrete is in compliance with all required internal and external quality standards and specifications. Establish and achieve quality objectives for all aspects of concrete production. Responsible for assuring the safety of the jobsite to include all the customers, employees, and property as well as Lauren Concrete equipment and employees.
Job-Specific Functions
* Display a positive attitude, a professional appearance and demeanor on all jobs with all customers, both internally and externally
* Inspect all loads before pouring; make necessary adjustments to the load and communicate to the plant operator to determine if plant adjustments are needed
* Work closely with plant operations to monitor aggregate moistures, concrete plastic properties, and overall plant consistency. Develop close working relationships with production team to ensure concrete is of the highest quality.
* Must assist with maintaining good customer relations. This involves being able to effectively communicate with customers in a diverse environment.
* Provide customer support in resolving quality concerns and problems in the field by working with various departments. Educate customers in proper concrete placement and finishing techniques.
* Work closely with the Lauren Lab to ensure inbound raw material testing schedules are met, and that all daily concrete testing results are communicated to the appropriate party. Assist with the investigation and testing of new raw material sources and products. Ensure quality concrete is being produced through the active testing of raw materials. Must report all suspect results to management immediately.
* Occasional lab work will be required for both training and participating in lab related projects.
* Maintain written records of each jobsite and daily activities
* Submit records in a timely manner

Qualifications
Knowledge:
* Basic mixer truck knowledge including operating procedures and limitations
* Preferred ACI Grade 1 Technician certification (Concrete) or the ability to obtain within three months of date of hire

Ability
* Regular attendance is an essential function of this job. Must have the ability to report to work on time and on a regular basis
* Ability to represent Lauren Concrete in a professional manner in a variety of settings and circumstance
* Ability to understand complex functions, procedures, and processes
* Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely
* Ability to accept responsibility for quality and accuracy of personal work
* Ability to obtain "The ACI Field Technician Grade 1" (within three months of hire).
* Ability to obtain a company sponsored time and position app cell phone (by GPS Coordinates) during working hours for better utilization of the field representatives in providing a "World Class Experience" for the customer.
Education/Experience
* One to three years of similar or related experience.
* Obtain "The ACI Field Technician Grade 1" (within three months of hire).
