Job Description

A Software Developer plays a critical role as a part of a team at IGT, the industry leader in wager gaming machines. As a technical contributor, you will focus on software game development and gaming platforms. Specifically, research, design, develop, modify, debug, review, test and document C# object oriented software for a real-time 3D video gaming environment.

You will also be working with game studios outside the department helping them learn how to use features created by the team and resolving issues found in those features.  This role offers a wide variety of technical challenges to solve and explore related to innovative slot game-play concepts, networked gaming, and finding creative ways to meet the demands of players around the globe. First Year Goals
By the end of year one, individuals who excel as a Software Developer will be equipped to independently do software design and implementation of features and possibly lead their next project from the  engineering perspective through the following first year goals:
•    Start contributing to reference game within the 8 weeks of arrival
•    Develop technologies and methods used to develop slot games
•    Build professional relationship with peers through immersion in the engineering team and supporting game studios.
•    Familiarize the entire Software Development Lifecycle by close of the year
•    Design and implement 3+ game/SDK features independently by close of the year.   
•    Establish professional relationship/partnership with the designated supported studios within 3 months.

Job Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    Experience in Object-Oriented design and implementation.
•    Excellent C# programming skills.
•    Working knowledge of Unity.
•    Experience with various aspects of game programming (3D, UI, gameplay, sound, physics, rendering, etc) a definite plus.
•    Self-motivated and team-orientated
•    Demonstrates strong collaboration skills, working side-by-side among disciplines with varying levels of technical understanding.
•    Able to effectively define, communicate, and explain the technical design and concept.
•    Strong problem solving skill and ability to work independently. Keys To Success
