Johnson & Johnson, Family of Companies, is recruiting for a BioSurgery Alliance Leader, Senior Director.
This position is to be located preferably in Somerville, NJ, Limerick, Ireland, or Beerse, Belgium.
Johnson and Johnson's Ethicon franchise offers a broad range of products, platforms and technologiesincluding sutures, surgical staplers, clip appliers, trocars and synthetic mesh devices and adjunct hemostats that are used in a wide variety of surgical procedures. Ethicon BioSurgery is a subdivision of the Ethicon business and responsible for the supply of biological and non-biological adjunction hemostats for the treatment of bleeding.
Reporting to the Head of BioSurgery Supply Chain with a dotted line to the Head of Biologics GSM, the BioSurgery Alliance Leader is expected to lead an integrated E2E relationship with BioSurgery strategic manufacturing partners; driving profitability, innovation and commercial growth. The Alliance Leader will be expected to personally lead mix teams from partner companies and the JNJ families of companies to deliver transformational business improvements, particularly in the Biologics space.
BioSurgery Alliance Leader, Senior Director Responsibilities:
- Formulate and communicate overall business objectives, policies, and strategic plans for strategic partners and interacting JNJ business units.
-Ensure effective implementation and execution of policies and plans to direct the growth of the Company and to achieve both long-term and short-range objectives based upon the broad BioSurgery E2E strategy.
-Serve as the Value Stream Leader for Biologics and optimize the supply chain performance through end-to-end product ownership and cross-sector collaboration. Specifically lead cross functional and cross-sector teams to deliver the 6 Key Value Stream Management Processes: Product Strategy Development, Life Cycle Management (LCM) / Portfolio Prioritization, Product Operational Management, Issue Management, Stakeholder Management and Product Portfolio Optimization.
-Make timely decisions and balances short-term needs with longer term strategic impact.
-Create the structure and processes necessary to manage the organization's current activities and its projected growth.
-Ensure sound services and working relationships with key staff of strategic partners and with outside services such as consultants, legal counsel, advertising agencies, and regulatory agencies, and with outside public and governmental bodies.
-Play a key role in shaping the external environment.
-Secure capacity for globalization and key product lines.
-Drive cultural integration with the strategic partners and the J&J Family.
-Maintain strong connection to Customer & Franchise.
-Drive flawless execution of Lifecycle Management and NP Launches.
-Drive innovation in manufacturability and process development in strategic partners
-Set Performance Targets for External Manufacturing Ops to meet GOC & Enterprise goals
-Balance and drive continuous improvement in Cost, Customer Service & Product Quality.
-Deliver on financial plans and commitments.
-Manages JNJ exposure to risk; business, compliance and corporate reputation in all areas.
-Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required; Advance degree highly preferred
-Minimum of 15 years relevant business experience required
-A minimum of 15 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility, experience in managing global organizations Required
-Relevant Biologics and Device manufacturing experience required
-Experience working globally required
-Applicable healthcare regulatory requirements, tax law, and logistics required
-Ability to drive operational excellence across organizations, with measurable, financial, quality and cycle time results required
-Understanding of the linkages in supply chain from demand planning through delivery to customer required
-Ability to create a future vision and gaining support and alignment to that vision required
-Developing working strategic plans in alignment with the corporate strategic goals required
-Strong understanding of the new product introduction process preferred
-Experience working in a complex matrix organization and achieving results though leveraging internal and external partners required
-Demonstrated success in regulated environments (pharmaceuticals, medical devices, consumer) required
-Experience in managing global organizations required
-This role will require up to 50% domestic and international travel
