Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation’s premier electrical contractors and industry professionals. Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for the position of Electrical Estimator in Seattle, Washington.

Electrical Estimator Compensation & Benefits

Total compensation for the Electrical Estimator in Seattle, WA is between $80,000 and $110,000 depending on experience, and may be more than this range for candidates with exceptional experience and successful history of performance.

Electrical Estimator Duties & Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering documents
  • Handle bids from “cradle to grave”
  • Perform necessary research to produce accurate, complete and competitive pricing
  • Communicate with customers to properly define the project scope, address deficiencies and negotiate pricing
  • Read and thoroughly understand prints, specifications, contract documents and various electrical systems
  • Complete electrical material takeoffs through the use of software
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients and contractors and other team members

Electrical Estimator Qualifications

  • Stable employment – 3 employers or less within the last 10 years
  • Large commercial projects, minimum of $3M+ experience
  • Strong employment stability
  • Minimum of 3 + years’ experience estimating electrical construction projects with an electrical contractor
  • Must have experience with Accubid estimating software
  • Conceptual estimation experience
  • Must have experience successfully and accurately handling bids from takeoff to final presentation
  • Knowledge of NEC and local codes and requirements

Preferred but Not Necessary

  • Journeyman License or Degree
