Marketing Assistant

Job Type



Provides comprehensive and creative marketing support services to external and internal customers and expedite various projects and assignments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support and work in conjunction with the Global Head of Business Development, Corporate marketing department and local departments (i.e. product launch team, sales, commercial support, customer service, etc.).
  • Obtain a thorough understanding of our products, internal standards, and differentiators to help support company strategies aimed at increasing effective marketing and brand awareness
  • Plan, manage, monitor, and maintain marketing budgets for exhibitions, marketing collateral and other marketing related services; Sales Department expenses related to exhibitions included.
  • Independently coordinate marketing events such as trade shows, conferences, etc., including overseeing logistics, managing registrations, coordinating with vendors, creating itineraries, and ordering marketing collateral.
  • Gather materials and assemble information packages and marketing materials, as needed.
  • Maintain inventory list of marketing supplies (display, analyzers, test kits, AV, etc.) used for trade shows, training and prospective customer demonstration. Arrange for repair, refurbishing or replacement of supplies when needed.
  • Maintain sample files of marketing materials.
  • Maintain marketing archives on company network including digital catalogues, imagery, logos, letterhead, artwork, etc.
  • Use and collaborate with the EKF Studio for graphics design needs and when changes are needed for marketing documents, digital and printed.
  • Collaborate with EKF Studio to maintain, edit, and assure graphics consistency on US website.
  • Coordinate and support marketing initiatives with the planning, executing, and tracking of marketing programs such as direct mail, email, event, social media, or content marketing.
  • Initiate and submit Document Action Requests (DAR) for digital and printed marketing documents.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.


Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Administration, sales, or marketing assistant experience, or similar.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
  • Meticulous attention to detail and possess solid organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines; work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Projects a positive company image by interacting with fellow employees, customers, and management in a cooperative, supportive, and courteous manner; displays a professional attitude while complying with company policies and procedures.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Bilingual skills (English and Spanish); able to read, write and speak English and Spanish fluently.
  • Understanding of marketing techniques with a keen interest in providing consistent brand voice across all marketing activities to specific audiences.

Reasoning Abilities:
  • Must have analytical and planning skills sufficient to determine resources and time required to complete projects.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Language Skills:
  • Good written and oral communication skills; ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language; ability to communicate effectively, internally, and externally at all levels.
  • Excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with customers and business associates.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • General knowledge of the metric system units (length, area, volume, capacity, mass, and weight) and U.S. equivalents.

Physical Activities and Demand:
  • Frequently communicate information and ideas so other understand. Able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • Often moving from place to place within the building.
  • Stationary position sitting for long periods of time while utilizing standard office tools.
  • Constant repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers to operate keyboard and mouse; dexterity and coordination necessary to handle files and single pieces of paper.
  • Occasionally reaching for items above and below desk level; squatting, stooping, or kneeling to read labels on boxes.
  • Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and rarely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when required, such as face masks, gloves, hairnet, etc.

Visual Acuity:
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Use of computer monitor for prolonged periods.

Environment Conditions:
  • Well lighted, heated/or air-conditioned indoor office/production setting with adequate ventilation.
  • Noise level in the work environment is moderate.
  • Occasional exposure to high and low temperature and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
  • Occasional exposure to low temperatures in controlled refrigerators and/or freezers.
  • Occasionally subjected to moderate noise levels.
