Our Client is looking for a Wastewater Manager reporting to the Plant Manager. The Wastewater Manager is responsible for ensuring all water leaving a company water treatment facility meets the requirements set forth by local and state regulations. In addition the Wastewater Manager is responsible for ensuring the Environmental Manager is informed of all changes in water quality and/or engineering processes.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee and maintain operation of treatment equipment, Provide communication of current operational status to Plant Manager. Maintain operations logs, performing maintenance and preventative maintenance on equipment. Maintain treatment systems. Perform operational maintenance, and maintain administrative records. Operate and maintain the treatment facility providing a safe working environment with proper safety equipment and tools for team members. Provide scheduling, training and support of team members. Analyze operational data determining changes and improvements needed to accomplish objectives Ensuring wastewater samples are correctly collected and sent to the lab for determination of permit compliance. Provide reporting to management, corporate office and government agencies as required. REQUIREMENTS: Georgia Wastewater Operator Certificate 1 - 3 years wastewater experience, preferably in poultry or meat processing. 1+ year’s supervisory experience, preferably in poultry or meat processing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, English language skills (reading and writing) required, Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills helpful but not required. Must have strong communication and interpersonal (people) skills. Proficient computer and analytical skills needed. Detail oriented. Ability to lead by example, coach, mentor and motivate team members.
