Job Description

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is one of the 12 regional Reserve Banks that, together with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., make up the Federal Reserve System. It helps formulate and implement monetary policy, supervises banks and bank and savings and loan holding companies, and provides financial services to depository institutions and the federal government. The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia serves eastern and central Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware.

Job Summary:
Provides senior level architecture, design, administration and technical support for a centralized, locally managed Content Management tool suite in a collaboration environment architected to support mission critical services for 20,000 users. The environment also encompasses major integration points with other collaborative products such as SharePoint, Microsoft Office, Active Directory and wireless handheld devices and backend infrastructure.
Additionally the candidate should be able to apply advanced technical knowledge to evaluate, test and troubleshoot highly complex technical solutions and knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint framework to design and troubleshoot large multi-server farm topologies.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Supports the EUS Collaboration Build's ongoing objectives of enhancing the Federal Reserve System's usage of content management technologies to support business needs while delivering reliable and secure services.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related area from a four-year college or technical school preferred.
SharePoint or other Microsoft certification preferred.
At least four years of experience installing, supporting, troubleshooting and repairing Microsoft SharePoint Server.
At least five years of experience with architectural design, installing, supporting, troubleshooting and repairing enterprise SharePoint Server implementations.
Experience with architectural design on enterprise SharePoint implementations preferred.
Experience managing and designing multi-server virtual and physical SharePoint farms in a load balanced environment.
In-depth knowledge of Windows Server, Internet Information Server and SQL 2014, SQL Server Reporting Services and Access Services.
Enterprise Search and FAST search experience.
Nintex Workflow, MetaLogix StoragePoint and ControlPoint experience a plus.
Strong problem solving, multitasking, customer service, and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to end-users.
Demonstrated leadership skills preferred.
Experience with SharePoint Online is preferred.
Experience with additional SharePoint tools like Active Navigation is also a plus.
PowerShell knowledge is required.

Knowledge and Skills:
Successfully anticipates, mitigates, identifies, troubleshoots and resolves simple to moderately complex SharePoint problems. Uses sound judgement to escalate issues as necessary.
Performs functions to design, analyze, develop and implement new systems and modify existing platforms to meet the goals of the enterprise.
Evaluates, tests and implements new software products and patches to improve efficiency, reliability, or to provide new services.
Troubleshooting/resolution of highly complex technical problems.
Serves as third level support for end-user questions or problem of the highest complexity.
Interfaces with vendors and partners to install and troubleshoot 3rd party SharePoint problems.
Develops and test processes for deploying SharePoint solution packages.
Performs SharePoint capacity and disaster recovery planning.
Participates in and/or coordinates complex office, District or System projects.
Provides leadership and consulting services for major enterprise initiatives including web services, enterprise portals and mobile applications.
Designs integration with Enterprise Systems.
Participates as a subject matter expert in architectural and design reviews; reviews and updates server architecture diagrams as needed.
Develops best practices, governance plans and taxonomies.
Determines search architecture and reviews architecture for new areas to index, crawl or exclude.
Leads major projects of a highly complex nature.
May provide lead or supervisory oversight for other SharePoint technical support staff and/or functions.

Other Requirements:
Occasional travel within the continental US may be required up to 10% of the time and include overnight absences and multi-day trips.
May require frequent weekend or evening hours and being on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Physical Requirements:

Background investigations including drug testing are required for all new hires as a condition of employment, after the job offer is made. Employment may not begin until the Bank accepts the results of the background investigation.
