Nesco Engineering and IT is currently seeking a
Process Engineer to work permanently in Tucson Arizona for an
ITAR regulated Manufacturing operation.
Process Engineer will efficiently create productive methods of procedural implementation. Work well as a manufacturing team Leader and team member with assessing, planning and implementing continuous improvement projects. Engineering Liaison for new product introductions/Monitor pilot runs, document issues, recommend corrective actions on new products, Continuous efforts and focus on improving manufacturing methods, tooling, equipment, implementation of lean manufacturing methodologies activities on assigned Programs. Working experience with U.S. Federal government procurement regulations, ITAR, EAR, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs) preferred!
Responsibilities to include:

Conduct process and product development trials, Support tool design efforts, Create Statements of Work for engineering jobs/projects.

Troubleshoot product/process issues, Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions, PFMEA activities

Evaluate engineering changes, support to production work groups, provide training on improvement activities, manufacturing methods and implementation of lean manufacturing methodologies activities on assigned Programs.

Create Statements of Work for engineering jobs/projects and support the specification, acquisition, installation and qualification of equipment

Perform manufacturability reviews and record results, Coordinate product qualification efforts and quality plans, review of non-conforming product and material

Review customer contracts, technical documents, provide technical support for sales, product manager and technical interface with customers.

Demonstrated Experience with molding, metel bonding, compressions, vacuum and autoclave cure manufacturing methods.

Materials experience with Rubber Compounds, Resins and Reinforcement products such as: EPDM, Silicones, SBR, Flouroelastomers, Epoxy, Silica Quartz, Carbon, etc.

Experience with new product development, manufacturing process / project engineering

Knowledge of process design and implementation, change control, auditing, and document management systems.

Thorough understanding of a quality system and its development, documentation and implementation

Ability to develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting and problem solving.

Ability to plan, control and assure product and process quality in accordance with quality principles which include, product and process validation, planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling, and process measurement systems

BS in Chemical, Material Sciences or Mechanical Engineering OR equivalent of (8-10 yrs) manufacturing/engineering related product experience

Advanced knowledge of U.S. Federal government procurement regulations, ITAR, EAR, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs), and company Purchasing Manual Policies, Procedures and compliance
