IT Desktop/Software Support Specialist

Amtraco Gurnee, IL (On Site) Full-Time
Desktop IT Support $54,000 to $57,500 per year base plus bonus opportunity

AMTRACO is a global holding company headquartered in Franksville, WI, that manages the shared services of HR, IT, and Finance for its operating units. The four distinct operating units owned by AMTRACO are:

EPSI - a distribution company servicing the surface finishing industry with presence in all major global markets.

STM - a manufacturer of pressure sensitive adhesive tapes

FAST - a distributor of tapes and related products for the framing, architectural, signs, and trophy markets.

SBM - a commercial real estate company that buys, develops, and leases commercial real estate.

Position Responsibilities
  • Support existing software with maintenance, updates, key features
  • Take ownership and make an impact developing apps with a focus on performance, reliability, and capabilities
  • Assist the IT Manager in identifying impactful opportunities to build, leverage, and grow our technology offerings
  • SQL database management to support teams in design and utilization
  • Writing of code (C, vbscript) to support evolution of ERP system
  • Support field, engineering, and back-office personnel in productivity improving initiatives to implement and maintain
  • Intellectually honest, self-starter, and ability to prioritize by return on time and investment
  • Be comfortable being uncomfortable. We move very fast, folks who are confident in their ability to solve problems, even in new areas or domains are highly preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, take ownership of problems to deliver for users, and carry out responsibilities with a sense of urgency.
  • Assist with level 2 and 3 technical support tickets as needed
  • Share On-Call duties
  • Modify and create SQL queries in both Oracle and SQL server databases

Experience
  • Microsoft SQL Server experience
  • Powershell, XML experience
  • Crystal Reports experience
  • DevOps
  • 5-7 years' experience required. Education can be substituted for experience.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
  • High School Diploma Required
