Maintenance Mechanic - Sulphur, LA

This is a Mechanic Position for contract and common carrier with a logistics / trucking company location in Sulphur, LA. Reports to Shop Foreman.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

1. Maintaining tractors and trailers
2. Performing inspections on equipment
3. Keeping shop areas safe and clean
4. Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications include:

1. High School Diploma/GED
2. Good communication skills
3. Preference of 1 year of experience in maintenance and repair
4. Air brake certified
5. Must have own tools

Desired:

1. Tank experience
2. CDL with HAZMAT & Tank Endorsements
3. Knowledge of newer diesel and emission treatment systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Experience:

• Diesel engine repair: 1 year (Preferred)
• Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
