To succeed in this role it will require that you perform duties to support the goals and objectives of the organization to provide quality service. You will be responsible for the coordination of personnel and tasks related to project completion, including but not limited to analysis, testing, documentation, problem resolution and implementation of devices and supported applications. Works closely with team members to meet the Information Technology needs of assigned product lines, divisions and departments.

You will be responsible for the work of others and provide support to assigned personnel including mentoring, retention, training, and general assistance as needed. You will also be responsible for carrying out an annual performance evaluation of all team members. This role receives general direction from Director or Program Director. Assists the Director or Program Director as needed in hiring, discipline and termination of team members.

How will you do it? 

Hold daily team meetings; balance the workload of all employees; monitor the ticket intake process; triage tickets to the correct resource, assure all tickets are completed on time; track time and effort; establish new work flow procedures; assures all processes are well documented; become intimately familiar with tier 1 and 2 technologies; maintain and be part of the on-call schedule; assure production turn-overs are following compliance regulations; interact with other departments; and respond to user requests.

Requirements:

  • Leadership experience in a technology environment (Required)
  • SQL experience (Preferred)
  • Prior Application and Database support experience – including patching, upgrades, troubleshooting (Preferred)

Competencies and Skills:
Project management, software acquisition, vendor management, disparate system interfaces, software upgrades, systems support, mentoring, task organization, and team building. 
 
Education and/or Experience Requirements: 
Associate's degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; or technical diploma / technical certification in a field related to the position required. Minimum of nine years of full-time experience in a related information technology/application/user support role required. Minimum of two years of experience in a lead, project management or supervisory role required.

OR

In lieu of degree or certification, minimum of twelve years of full-time experience in a related information technology/application/user support role required. Minimum of two years of experience in a lead, project management or supervisory role required.
