Job Description

You preferably have some interest  or experience in biotech or labaratory environments and are interested in the dynamic world of consulting. In this role you will be supporting various consulting projects in the Northern California area. Projects are variable and challenging. This position requires DOT Waste Manifest Training and experience with handling and disposing of hazardous materials and wastes.    Responsibilities may include:
  1. Industrial hygiene (IAQ, investigations, sampling, monitoring, assessments)
  2. Health and safety code compliance
  3. Sustainability related projects included Corporate Social Responsibility, environmental footprint, energy use reduction, and others
  4. Developing and delivering EHS/Occupational Health and Safety training
  5. EHS assessments/general program compliance audits
  6. Regulatory compliance
  7. Occupational safety surveys/inspections
  8. Workstation ergonomic evaluations with support from other ergonomic staff
  9. Environmental issues (air, waste water, hazardous waste)
  10. EHS & ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 program development
  11. Writing technical reports
Experience & Education Requirements:
  1. This position requires prior EHS&S work experience
  2. DOT Wasts Manifest Training
  3. Experience with hazrdous materials and wastes 
  4. You must have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in an EHS or related field of study
  5. Must have a valid driver’s license and car and be able to drive throughout the area for client related projects.
  6. Must be able to travel by plane outside the region to support client work in other locations on occasion.

  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong business writing and presentation ability
  9. Strong acumen in science, math with ability to independently use common technology resources
