SUMMARY-Amcor Bellevue (975 W. Main St Bellevue, OH) is partnering with Renhill (Fremont, OH), Transformation Network (Clyde, OH)  and Surge Staffing (Fremont/Findlay, OH) for part-time workers.

Responsible for operation of machinery to pack and/or palletize product.  Must acquire understanding of packing requirements and operations of machinery including palletizers, strapping machines, wrapping machines, forklifts, and overall flow of product

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Packages finished product according to customer pack specifications
  2. Forklift operator certified and when assigned to forklift operation
    1. perform daily safety and operational checks
    2. operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
    3. Unload finished product with a forklift from the production area
    4. Move incoming material
    5. Check identification
    6. Shortage reporting
    7. Report damaged material
    8. FIFO
  3. Inspects product for quality defects. Documents quality checks per the product requirements
  4. Operate, load and complete minor adjustments to box loader, inserter machine, palletizer, strapper, and shrink wrapper

POSITION REQUIRMENTS Knowledge/Skills/Education

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Ability to read, write and understand English.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed near moving mechanical parts and occasionally in high, precarious places. This position requires the use of eye protection, hearing protection in designated areas. When handling a sharp object or tool a cut glove must be worn per safety requirements. Other required PPE is task specific.  GMP procedures are observed in all areas of the plant.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while standing or walking a minimum of twelve (12) hours a day, the ability to lift up to 5 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis, and the ability to perform work that is below the knees and above the shoulders on an occasional basis

Shifts are:

Monday and Tuesday 635a-645p

Monday and Tuesday 635p-645a

Wednesday and Thursday 635a-645p

Wednesday and Thursday 635p-645a

Friday, Saturday and Sunday 635a-645p

Friday, Saturday and Sunday 635p-645a

Wages are $15/hr to start and $16/hr after 60 days. Night shift has a $.50/hr shift premium.

Part-time workers assignments:

  1. Will only work the schedule listed above
  2. Do not receive benefits of full-time Amcor co-workers (insurance, holiday pay, vacation, floating holiday, 401K, reimbursements)
  3. 3 -openings per shift
  4. Assignment expecting to last through August 2021
  5. Work Performed: Packing, Sorts, Rework, Off-Line Inspection, Cleaning
  6. Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
  7. Paid weekly by temp agency
