Regional Vendor Manager

Mastec, Inc. Denver, CO Full Time

The Regional Vendor Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating initiatives and efforts to: recruit, on-board, negotiate with, monitor, track, and retain highly qualified subcontractors with a track record of safety, to supplement existing resources for the purpose of enhancing and optimizing the performance and delivery of services to customers by reducing costs, mitigating risks, and maximizing the profitability of sales.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage relationships with all subcontractors and stakeholders.

Manage the execution of contracts and ensure adherence with contractual terms and conditions.

Proactively establish and maintain collaborative and long-term working relationships with stakeholders to forecast requirements, and swiftly respond to challenges as they arise.

Source potential vendors and subcontractors based on capabilities, resources, and available assets.

Facilitate the resolution of conflicts and escalated matters.

Participate in vendor events and “kick off” meetings.

Receive and process requests for new vendors.

Interact with Accounting, Legal, and other administrative support teams to resolve and reconcile issues, escalations, and disputes.

Prepare and maintain subcontractor performance scorecards.

Perform additional administrative and managerial tasks as assigned.

Ability to negotiate with subcontractors and maintain positive working relationships.

Must possess high ethical standards and the ability to handle confidential, sensitive, and critical issues.

Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office and prepared to develop skills and use additional software and systems as required.

Must be capable of performing data analysis, and developing presentations

Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be prepared to host presentations and communicate with various stakeholders as directed.

Must be a detail oriented, meticulous, and well organized, strategic planner.

Must be capable of leading and managing concurrent projects.

Periodic travel as required, including travel by air.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (5+ years’) experience in procurement or purchasing (3+ years’) experience in Telecommunications industry preferred. 

Specialized Experience:

Candidates with Supply Chain management experience, data analytics and presentation experience, and contract negotiation experience preferred.
