Position Summary: This position is responsible for partnering with all areas of the business to analyze, design and implement value-added IT solutions for the benefit of AD associates, members and supplier partners. This role has a focus on eliciting requirements and architecture technology solutions according to identified business needs in collaboration with the Financial Systems Manager, developers, business stakeholders and vendors.
Designs, documents, debugs, implements and maintains software applications.
Evaluates customer needs/issues, analyzes business processes, assists in evaluating alternatives, and determines appropriate solutions.
Prepares accurate and detailed requirement specification documents, user interface guides and functional specification documents
Designs and/or develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications.
Creates visual models of systems, databases and processes using Systems Context Diagrams (SCD), Entity-Relationship Diagrams and Flowcharts.
Leads user-acceptance testing and develops test plans & scripts.
Ensures AD has a stable and reliable environment for all production systems, including management of vendor’s software patches and upgrades.
Acts as a project manager on smaller engagements or work streams.
Provides support for various ad-hoc data and report requests.
Works with the technical team on problem analysis and issue resolution.
Keeps current with emerging technologies and makes recommendations for inclusion at AD.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; educational concentration in a computer-based discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems) or a technical discipline (e.g. Engineering, Mathematics) is preferred
At least 3-5 years Systems Analyst experience.
Experience with the financial modules (AP, AR, GL) of at least one ERP system.
3+ years SQL experience (SQL Server, Oracle or Postgres)
Intermediate to advanced Excel capabilities
Demonstrated success in defining and launching IT products and services
Working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using both a Waterfall and Agile approach.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
Experience with Lawson ERP.
Prior experience with a Business or Financial Services firm.
Experience with Oracle BI or similar tools.
Business Analysis certification (CBAP or CCBA).
