Title: Store Designer
Reports to: Director of Store Design
Overview
The Store designer manages and develops the architectural design development of specific new stores, renovations/remodels, and special projects via deliverables execution, material sourcing and coordination with the Brand

Responsibilities
Design Development and Construction Development:
* Work on a project from initial concept through opening via timely deliverables execution of deliverables
* Collaborate with the Senior Designer and the Senior Design & Planning Manager on the development of an innovative, site-specific, Brand-appropriate design options to present to the brand representatives
* Ensure the delivery of a complete Design Development Set to the Architect of Record for documentation production
Management and Schedule:
* Initiate team meetings with Store Environment, Lighting Designer, Project Engineer and Fixture Manager to review throughout the design process the evolution of the design/layout of the store
* Coordinate and set schedule for design review with Consultants (AOR and Vendors) to ensure that design documents are accurate and cost effective in their design intent
* Work closely with Senior Design & Planning Manager and AOR on code related questions, structural concerns, technical details and duct layout
* Coordinate with Lighting Designer to develop lighting plan and cut sheets to include in the final Design Development Set
* Present and participate in the Design Review Meetings
* Manage multiple projects with variable timelines concurrently
Site Visits / Construction Process
* Travel to the site(s) at various stages of development to ensure design is appropriate and executed in a manner consistent with design intent
* Review construction site photos and discuss comments with Construction Manager
Qualifications
* Self-motivated; ability to work towards deadlines and establish schedule milestones for the team
* Diverse design/architecture background demonstrating knowledge of multiple creative and technical disciplines
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and their inherent expectations
* Creative vision centered on design and architecture
* Efficient with Autocad, Adobe Programs, 3D Programs (Sketch-up) and Microsoft Office.
Education: Degree in architecture or Interior Design
