Quality Assurance Supervisor
Supervise overall product assurance program related to Quality in support of Production Operations, Supplier Quality, Material Review and Quality Program Conformance. Responsibilities include all aspects of managing resources for all product lines except, USPS. Responsible for ensuring suppliers complies with contract quality requirements. Responsible to promote continuous improvement of product quality through resolution of supplier and/or production discrepancy causes.
Material Review and Corrective Action.
Supplier Surveys Audits and ongoing evaluation approvals.
Direct liaison with Customer and government officials, both formal correspondence and routine daily interactions.
Direction liaison with supplier base.
Assist with development and implementation of departmental and facility fiscal objectives and strategies.
Ability to conceptualize complex principles and effects of change to support daily endeavors and understanding and solving problems.
Able to process information mentally in order to respond as required during supplier meetings or customer meetings or at presentations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
College education with a technical degree or equivalent broad work experience to demonstrate full capability is required. A good Knowledge and understanding of automotive quality requirements with broad manufacturing experience.

A mixture of an office environment with frequent time in the plant. Environment includes assembly/paint facility and all possible supplier sites such as castings/forging manufacturing facilities. Travel is expected with the job responsibilities (up to 20% of weekly time), no foreign travel is required.
Moderate - Occassional lifting (light weight), stooping, crawling, squatting or sitting in a confined position.

Responsible for Work of Others
Yes. Position is responsible to supervise 3 to 5 Lead Auditors, with the potential for several auditors reporting to each Lead Auditor. Additional supervisory responsibilities include contract help.

Ability to communicate internally and externally, oral, written and conduct formal presentations.
Managerial skills in the areas of problem solving, prioritizing, personnel relations and decision making.
Overall knowledge of manufacturing of products related to the production line such as; castings, forging, precision machined components, fabrications, stampings, etc.
Experience with the elements of ISO/QS 9000 and good commercial QA practices and programs such as; SQA, QE, dimension inspection, production quality control and special processes.

Personnel computer, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Time management software
Various types of measuring and test equipment.
Telephone system (to utilize the features available to enhance communication and voice mail options).
Copier machines, Printers, fax machines and hand held calculator.
