Boiler Operator

We are looking for an experience power house operator.


Experience Required: Four year apprenticeship or equivalent in operating powerhouse or boiler room. Must be able to read and interpret mechanical and piping drawings.


Primary Function:

Operate and maintain powerhouse equipment such as automatically fired boilers, steam turbines, air compressors, pumps, motors, water treatment system, water heaters, deacrating equipment, air dryers, and all related auxiliary equipment.

Starts all powerhouse machinery, brings up to specified temperatures and/or pressure.  Observes pressures, temperatures, draft meters, water levels, etc., to verify specified operations. Records data. Oils and lubricates equipment and makes minor repairs when needed.  Test and treat boiler feed water. Keeps tools and work area clean and orderly at all times.

Must have knowledge of electrical power and control voltage circuits, pipefitting, mechanical equipment repair, and water treatment systems.

You will get 40-42 hours per week (more if required).   This is a 12 hour shift assignment.  The hours are

7am-7pm or 7pm-7am.
