Planner/Scheduler

Kelly Engineering has a GREAT opportunity for a Planner/Scheduler located in Brooklyn Park, MN!

This position will be responsible for Planning and Scheduling throughout the Supply Chain at the facility. Additionally, the Production Planning Supervisor will effectively develop and coach direct reports to support daily initiatives, align department objectives with the business strategy and engage the workforce.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Plans, updates and monitors manufacturing schedules, establishing delivery dates and coordinating activity throughout the operation to support the master schedule.
+ Interface directly with customers to acknowledge orders and establish delivery schedules.
+ Maintaining a constant awareness of capacity constraints, material arrival, customer demand changes and quality issues; adjust and communicate schedule changes accordingly.
+ Provide strategic supervision to the purchasing, warehouse, inventory control and planning functions.
+ Establish procedures and oversee physical inventory, cycle counting, shipping/receiving.
+ Owns on time delivery and creating the most effective schedule possible.
+ Review and monitor production variances.
+ Hold weekly planning/scheduling meetings with production support to assure productivity and delivery metrics are achieved.
+ Support the development and achievement of KPI s such as Quality, Cost and Delivery.
+ Become ERP superuser and go to for resolving low level system issues
+ Maintain ERP system with production schedule and forecast.
+ Set standards and monitor staff performance, provide performance feedback, write and conduct appraisals, recommend merit increases and promotions, hold direct reports accountable to policies and performance throughout the year.
+ Manage assigned projects, working cross functionally to identify changes and required resources to obtain objectives.
+ Assist with monitoring of materials inventory to effectively determine needs based on production schedules, execute cycle counts and assist Finance/Accounting Create and release travelers to the production floor as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
+ 3-5 years of Planning and Scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment desired.
+ 2-3 years of experience with ERP systems.
+ Experience managing direct reports is preferred.
+ Solid understanding of Planning and Scheduling methodologies forecasts, safety stocks, replenishment strategies, inventory optimization, lead time reduction, Kanban, etc.
+ General understanding of Lean Management preferred.
+ Proficiency with data analytics, databases, MS Excel, MS Work and PowerPoint.
+ Knowledge and experience of working with an ISO13485 Quality Management System.
+ Demonstrated success in managing workforce, conflict management and working in a team environment.
