  • REHABILITATION AND NURSING CARE DESCRIPTION:  Hartsfield Village is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) that celebrates the full continuum of life and promotes successful aging. Our post-acute rehabilitation program offers state-of-the-art technology and advanced rehabilitation techniques to help our patients achieve maximum function and independence. Our on-going staff education and training, and thorough knowledge in post-acute rehabilitation pathways and protocols ensure highly skilled professionals ready to serve patients with complex medical needs. The Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing building has a total of 112 beds (16 Ortho, 45 Rehab, 51 Skilled Nursing).

    KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:  Knowledge and operation of various office equipment, type at least 55-60 wpm and have good grammar skills.  Able to proof own and others work.  Ability to present a business-like appearance and pleasant manner in dealing with Administrator, Business Manager, Department Heads, residents, facility staff, and the public.  Effective communication skills verbally and in writing.  Must be dependable, and competent to handle confidential matters and materials.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  High school graduate with Business school or collegiate courses in office operations, data systems, keyboarding, word processing or comparable experience.  Minimum of one year clerical, typing or word processing and office experience essential.  Experience as secretary or administrative assistant with general office operation experience and use of computer systems is highly desirable.

The Foundation also owns a for-profit company, Community Resources, Inc., which provides catering services for The Center for Visual and Performing Arts in Munster and is developing Community Estates, a residential development in south Munster.

    Throughout its history, CFNI has supported a number of charitable ventures in Northwest Indiana, including participation in a number of capital campaigns for other local not-for-profit groups; support and scholarships to area colleges and universities; funding for roads and public infrastructure; and donation of land and office space for the not-for-profit Hospice of the Calumet Area.
