Accounting Manager

Veolia Water Technologies, Inc. (VWT) is currently seeking an Accounting Manager for our Cary, NC office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce and analyze monthly and annual financial statements for growing subsidiary of international company, prepared in accordance with IFRS standards.
  • Maximize systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information, and resolving issues, particularly in the project accounting area.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting period-end closing schedules.
  • Prepare detailed weekly cash forecast.
  • Assist in financial budgeting and forecasting practices.
  • Schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage accounting staff to enhance performance and encourage development.
  • Develop and monitor strong systems of internal control.
  • Identify potential ways to use emerging technologies to automate accounting processes without sacrificing accuracy and accountability.
  • Assist in providing accounting information and recommendations to strategic plans.
  • Assist in guiding other departments in improving financial and operational performance through observation and analysis of data.

The successful candidate for this position reports directly to the CFO and display the following attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 4-8 years of experience required.  CPA preferred
  • Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
  • Strong financial analysis skills required.
