Responsibilities

We are in the midst of several large implementations and digital transformations of our e-commerce sites. As the UI/UX Developer, you’re a serious programmer who is also well-versed in UX and layout design. Being an expert with the UI and the underlying code that drives it, you're able to take someone’s vision and turn it into a user-friendly application. You understand best practices in all aspects of the front-end process, ranging from HTML 5 and CSS, to JavaScript and build tools. A quick thinker and problem solver, you’re always looking into new technologies and skilled at responsive design.

Travel ~ 10%

  • esign UI/UX for mobile e-commerce application-Develop high quality enterprise and mobile applications and services in a fast paced agile environment.
  • Design and develop services and applications for complex enterprise web, mobile systems.
  • Be flexible in your ability to learn various JavaScript frameworks and switch between them depending on the project at hand (e.g. AngularJS, KnockoutJS and DurandalJS).
  • Implement design changes as our Business vision and product/brand offerings evolve.
  • Build and maintain mobile-optimized sites to ensure a robust user experience on all device sizes
  • Work with our Enterprise Architecture team to come up with fast, scalable solutions for company and customer needs.
  • Integrate server-side API calls into JavaScript driven web applications via AJAX.
  • Collaborate with the Technology team via an Agile development workflow.
  • Be willing to try modern web technologies while balancing some level of backwards browser compatibility.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related Discipline with an information technology Focus.
  • 3+ years working in front-end web development.
  • Rock solid foundation in JavaScript, HTML 5, and CSS.
  • Skilled in responsive web design.
  • Proven experience with at least one JavaScript MVC or MVVM framework (e.g. AngularJS, DurandalJS, BackboneJS, EmberJS).
  • Basic Photoshop skills.
  • Ability to express yourself clearly and work well with others.
  • Capacity to follow technical specifications, yet know when to leap outside of the box and take the lead.
  • Excellent Oral, Written and Interpersonal Communication Skills; Ability to effectively exercise tact, discretion, judgment and diplomacy when interacting and/or negotiating with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport; persuades others and gains understanding.
  • Ability and Willingness to accept responsibility, willingness to challenge established practices and draw relevant conclusions, including the persistence and willingness to take calculated risk, to stimulate, market and sell new ideas within the organization.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse group, to achieve results through team efforts and the desire and ability to motivate, persuade and direct the activities of others.
  • Ability to perform in a high pressure environment and/or crisis situation and render good decisions to resolve the problems, maintain safety and ensure adherence to corporate code of conduct.
