DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Display excellent customer service to internal and external customers within the service line. Contribute to the vision, operational goals, and outcomes of the branch. Perform professional customer service inquiries related to the implementation of policies and procedures in the assigned service line. Prepare, schedule, and maintain itineraries, programs, and agendas. Assist in planning and implementing department sponsored activities and programs. Respond to written emails and telephone inquiries from the general public and elected officials. Draft correspondences, create reports and maintain electronic and hard copies of files. Maintain and track visitor log and electronically file on a monthly basis. Oversee building gate access and operate gate call box.  

WORKING CONDITIONS
The position is physically comfortable most of the time with occasional periods of stooping, and/or light lifting of materials of up to 10 pounds.

This is a Houston Public Works Emergency Management position at the Tier III Level.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires a high school diploma or a GED certificate.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Two years of administrative or customer service-related experience are required.

Associate degree may be substituted for up to two years of experience.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
None**Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6**.SELECTION/SKILLS TESTS REQUIRED     None

SALARY INFORMATION         
Factors used in determining the salary offered include the candidate's qualifications as well as the pay rates of other employees in this classification.  The salary range for this position is:
