Network Administrator

Responsible for day to day support of network infrastructure equipment, including; installing, configuring, performing monitoring, troubleshooting and supporting switches, routers, firewalls, access points and other network equipment necessary to meet business demands.

Duties and Responsibilities

"Essential functions" are primarily job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation made by the employer. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
  • Manage Active Directory, user accounts, passwords, mailboxes, database, file level permissions, management of Group Policy and Organizational Units
  • Manage servers with Microsoft Windows 2008 and higher Operating Systems, Microsoft Exchange 2016.
  • Manage VMWare server virtualization and endpoint security.
  • Manage LAN, WAN and wireless networks to ensure uptime, performance, and security
  • Maintaining stability and security of virtual and physical server infrastructure
  • Install and troubleshoot office network and infrastructure necessary to meet needs of end users. This includes wiring, switches, firewall, and internet needs and settings
  • Conduct root cause analysis on system error messages, troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions
Qualifications

Skills, Talents, Personal Attributes and Experience
  • Associates or higher degree in IT or 2-3 years professional IT experience
  • Certifications from vendors such as Microsoft, CompTIA or Cisco (A+, Network+, CCNA )
  • General knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as server hardware, storage, virtualization, networking and firewalls
  • Knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems: Windows 10, Server 2012/2016/2019
  • Knowledge of Windows Active Directory, VMWare 6.5 or higher and Antivirus Solutions.
  • Knowledge of Dell server architecture
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to work individually or in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical users
Physical Demands

Candidates must be able to perform these physical requirements of the role with or without accommodations.
  • Able to type using a keyboard and look at a computer screen for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to conduct conversations over the phone or in person with co-workers, vendors, or customers.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility.

Working Conditions

Physical environment that is subject to temperature extremes, movement of mobile and fixed equipment, and other conditions associated with a warehouse operation.
