Posted 4 days ago
Volunteers of America - Ohio and Indiana seeks an energetic, self-motivated, dynamic professional to join its expanding team. We are dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. As a statewide organization, we have over 800 committed and caring/compassionate employees working in multiple impact areas.
The Treatment Counselor is responsible for providing substance abuse treatment to assigned clients in accordance with VOA, DMHA, The Department of Child Services, Medicaid, CARF, and grant providers’ standards.
The Winchester House is a one-of-a-kind, family-centered, residential treatment program for mothers struggling with addiction. This program strives to maintain the bond between mother and child by allowing mothers to have their children live with them during their stay in the treatment program.
We offer a generous benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental, vision and a 403b with company match. Our work touches the mind, body, heart – and ultimately the spirit – of those we serve, integrating our deep compassion with highly effective programs and services.
The position requires a Master’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, or related field, two years of experience working therapeutically with populations whose difficulties border on the child welfare system, and the ability to conduct individual and group counseling, complete assessments, develop resources, and maintain client records is essential. Licensure preferred: LMFT, LCSW, or LMHC. Some evening hours and rotating on-call hours are required. Must have a valid Driver’s License.
