Summary of Duties: Design and validate clinical databases, including designing or testing logic checks. Process clinical data, including receipt, entry, verification, or filing of information. Generate data queries, based on validation checks or errors and omissions identified during data entry, to resolve identified problems. Develop project-specific data management plans that address areas such as coding, reporting, or transfer of data, database locks, and work flow processes. Develop new software applications or customize existing applications to meet specific scientific project needs. Provide statistical and computational tools for biologically-base activities, such as genetic analysis, measurement of gene expression, or gene function determination. Communicate research results through conference presentations, scientific publications, and project reports. Create novel computational approaches and analytical tools as required by research goals. Consult with researchers to analyze problems, recommend technology-based solutions, and determine computational strategies. Analyze large molecular datasets, such as raw microarray data, genomic sequence data, or proteomics data for clinical or basic research purposes. Develop data models and databases. Compile data for use in activities, such as gene expression, profiling, genome annotation, or structural bioinformatics. Design and apply bioinformatics algorithms including unsupervised and supervise machine learning, dynamic programming, or graphic algorithms. Manipulate publicly accessible, commercial, or proprietary genomic, proteomic, or post-genomic databases. Create or modify web-based bioinformatics tools. Improve user interfaces to bioinformatics software and databases.

Qualifications: Master's in Biology, Biotechnology, Statistics, or related field and five (5) years' experience in the offered role or as a Programmer Analyst, Health Care Analyst, or related role. Five (5) years' experience in: Advanced SAS; Access; and data analysis. Two (2) years' experience in: Medicare Advantage knowledge; and affordable care knowledge.
