Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description:

  • Responsible for a variety of financial duties surrounding sales reporting and analysis initiatives for the sales and finance organizations including, but not limited to, development of standardized sales management reporting and analysis, customer scorecards, daily sales, sales trend/forecast reporting, customer gross and net sales performance, customer profitability, etc.
  • Additionally, includes system support, special projects, periodic reporting of financial results, forecasts, the annual budget process, variance analysis, and data consolidation. Partner with Corporate FP&A, Division Finance, Supply Chain Finance and IT to provide financial guidance, system and analytics support for key decision making.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop/implement necessary processes to support internal forecasting/reporting requirements and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Support implementation of Power BI reporting across the organization.
  • Work with IT consultants to ensure reporting is delivered on time and accurately.
  • Prepare month end reporting for all Divisions and customers. Work with internal customers to ensure our reporting meets their needs.
  • Responsible for reporting results across all P&L lines.
  • Participate and sometimes lead various finance-wide planning and forecasting process design projects- projects will vary depending on business needs.
  • Interact proactively with key internal customers and central service groups, including Finance, Marketing, and IT groups.
  • Understanding of business implications and proactive problem solving to help deliver business results.
  • Manage and making recommendations for efficiencies with systems and tools.
  • Various ad hoc projects as needed.

Supervision:

  • No direct or indirect reports

Qualifications:

  • Five years business experience, preferably within CPG industry.
  • Demonstrated professional success.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in business, preferably with an emphasis in finance or accounting. MBA/CPA a plus.

Core Knowledge/Skills or Experience:

  • Self-motivation in a fast pace environment
  • P&L background / experience along with knowledge of financial systems and general accounting concepts
  • Requires strong verbal and written communication skills, and basic knowledge of general business concepts
  • Business Partnering: proven ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with internal customers, peers and effectively managing those relationships
  • Project Management: experience leading projects from conception to completion
  • GAAP: fundamental knowledge of, understanding of internal and external research methods for, and experience driving compliance of internal controls
  • Systems: BPC, SAP and Power BI
  • Cross-functional Dependencies: experience effectively working across multiple departments to complete a project or resolve an organizational challenge
  • Critical Thinking: leverage analytics, benchmarking, and insights to generate meaningful strategies and solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity, and change in a dynamic business environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
