Job Description

West’s Digital Media department is currently seeking a Director of Business Operations for our site in Boston! Be part of a team that drives West Digital Media Solutions market leading products in Enterprise Video Streaming, Investor Relations Web hosting, Press Release Distribution, Newsrooms, Contact Databases and Media Intelligence. These solutions not only reach and engage media, investors, employees and key stakeholders and allow our customers to gain actionable insights into the performance of their business communications, but also broadcast high-profile client webcasts.  West represents over 10,000 companies worldwide, with 63% being Fortune 500 companies.

This Director will be responsible for overseeing a variety of Business Operations functions (e.g. Digital Media Services lead for L2C initiatives, process improvements/cost savings, audit controls, etc.).  He/She will work with internal staff and contractors in the development and implementation of operational best practices and identify process improvement opportunities for assigned segments. The Director will support major internal initiatives (e.g. price increases, acquisition due diligence (operational assessments, integration planning, etc.), audit and analyze sales internal operational performance while proactively working to reduce client turnover by initiating/implementing appropriate improvements or changes in the department


Day to day responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
  • Leads the improvement and maturation of the WDMS Lead to Cash Platform and is responsible for the integration of additional internal and future businesses into the Lead to Cash framework
  • Works closely with all areas and levels of the business to ensure stakeholder requirements are supported, within the structure and vision of the platform
  • Supports organizational M&A Due Diligence activities where operational evaluations and/or integrations are projected
  • Maintains confidentiality of information, only releasing information allowed adhering to departmental and corporate policies and procedures
  • Assists executive management within assigned division to continuously improve controls, and cost saving efforts
  • Directs the development of effective operational strategies to maximize efficiency and client satisfaction
  • Develops end to end process workflow documentation
  • Analyzes business performance and processes in core areas for improvement
  • Identifies opportunities for increased profitability or efficiency within the business and partner with appropriate internal groups to implement solutions
  • Works with management staff in the implementation of new operational processes and procedures, utilizing data and key indicators to highlight reasons for change
  • Provides consultative advice to Executives to ensure appropriate levels of service
  • Ensures adequate analysis, design, development and use of technology within the functions overseen to promote efficiency, responsiveness to rapid growth and change
  • Coaches, develops, and mentors subordinates to achieve quality performance, while continuing to develop personal management skills necessary to lead staff and handle unique management challenges
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Business Administration or Finance required, however equivalent work experience can be substituted for educational requirements
  • 5 or more years of increasingly responsible experience in business management, operations or operation support required, preferably in a global multi-location company
Skills and Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to adapt and handle frequent change
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels and departments within the organization
  • Willingness to stay up-to-date with technology and product innovations
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Ability to respond to incidents 24x7
