This position is responsible for following established procedures that provide services in the mailroom and receiving areas. This role serves as the primary contact for the receiving area and provides daily support to the mailroom.


* Unloads and counts shipments from trucks into receiving area.
* Checks in and logs shipments, matching information on receivers to that on/in boxed shipments.
* Sorts, labels, and delivers shipments from receiving area to designated storage and distribution areas, mailroom, and offices.
* Picks up and relocates furniture, equipment, and supplies to/from departments of various buildings and storage located at Headquarters and off site.
* Sets up and takes down tables, chairs in specified configurations for events.
* Maintains storage areas in good order (office supplies, MIS supplies, production center supplies, both central and distributed, furniture, sample sales and corporate record areas. As well as transport recyclable materials, hazardous materials, and furniture on and off campus to designation locations (using company vehicle).
* Conducts quarterly safety inspections of company vehicles, making sure they are up-to-date and working properly.
* May assist with building materials and golf-carts.
* Maintains interdepartmental relations with maintenance, housekeeping, catering, space planning, and mailroom.
* Restocks paper stations at copiers as needed.
* Must be able to use work order system (i.e. Zendesk) to monitor and complete work order assigned.
* Processes incoming and outgoing mail utilizing postage meters, and PC and proprietary software.
* Delivers to and picks up mail from various Chico's locations and facilities, using hand carts and/or driving golf cart or other company vehicle as appropriate, assuring adherence to established routes and schedules.
* Assists with shipping procedures for packages leaving Headquarters facility, completing automated forms, and utilizing automated and manual systems to compile data and track delivery records.
* Opens, sorts, and distributes sales reports weekly and monthly. Sorts and ships catalog monthly and stuffs, folds, and packs special projects for HR and marketing as needed.
* In cooperation with other attendants, on rotating basis, coordinates opening and closing procedures involving starting up or closing equipment and automated systems, re-setting dates, opening/closing manifests, etc., and assuring facility security.
* In cooperation with Receiving/Transport Attendants, participates in the loading and unloading of palletized and non-palletized shipments from trucks into receiving area and/or from receiving to designated storage and distribution areas, the checking in of shipments, the sorting and labeling of shipments for storage or distribution, and the processing of returns of damaged or otherwise unacceptable shipments.
* Delivers and picks up sorted mail and packages to/from four Headquarters buildings, and supplies and other items to storage and all departments and on occasion to/from offsite locations.
* Maintains storage areas in good order.
* As needed, provides backup assistance in the Production Center with folding, stapling, hole punching, binding, collating, etc. projects.
* Other duties as assigned.


* HS diploma or equivalent
* 3+ years of experience
* Good driving record with the ability to drive company truck, van, and golf carts safely
* Ability to operate order picker and forklift and become forklift certified.
* Mechanical ability sufficient to learn how to effectively operate hand tools and other equipment
* Familiarity with shipping couriers, their services, and guidelines desired
* Detail orientation, with the ability to learn, retain, follow, and communicate policies and procedures correctly, perform all tasks with extreme accuracy, and adapt to changing conditions
* Excellent communication/ customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external customers in a pleasant, courteous, and efficient manner
* Ability to operate a PC, familiarity with Microsoft applications desired
* Ability to work independently and as part of a cooperative team with other Administrative Services staff and other company personnel
* Ability to project and maintain consistent professional appearance and behavior.
* Ability to work standing close to 100% of the time, and perform duties requiring frequent bending, and lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds independently and heavier packages with assistance
* Ability to, consistently and reliably, work 8:00a-4:30 p.m. with some shift variation and overtime as needed
