POSITION PURPOSE

The Quality Assistant/Employee Health/Infection Control Nurse, is expected to provide responsible results with the execution of continuous improvement processes to achieve superior results. The primary purposes of the position is the functions of the Employee Health, Infection Control, and Quality department and assigned responsibilities.



POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 

Licenses or Certifications

Current, unencumbered license as an RN or LVN/LPN in the state where hospital is located.

Education, Training, and Experience

Previous quality, employee health, and or infection control experience preferred.

Graduated from an accredited nursing school.

3-5 years clinical experience with direct patient care.

Skills and Abilities, Proficiency and Productivity Standards

Organizes and prioritizes tasks and projects; accurately completes job responsibilities within the specified time constraints

Adheres to ethical, regulatory and accreditation standards

Speaks and communicates English effectively, both in verbal and written format

Maintains confidentiality of patient information

Respects Patient Rights and promotes patient satisfaction

Works cooperatively with co-workers and other hospital employees

Adapts to changes necessitated by guest/staff situations

Seeks assistance as needed

Writes legibly

Functions proficiently in a Microsoft Windows environment

Computer, fax machine, copier



Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds

Ability to stand, sit, reach, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl, grasp, use fine finger movement.



Environmental Conditions

Indoors in climate controlled, well-lighted, and ventilated environment
