The Nurse Navigator Total Joint Program is the day-to-day lead for the total joint program and manages the development, implementation, and organization of the program. The Total Joint Navigator is responsible for guiding patients through their joint replacement journey. The Total Joint Navigator will manage the efforts between surgeons, hospital administration and staff while tracking the progress of the program and identifying areas requiring attention. This individual is also responsible for all program management, report generation and review, process improvement, patient satisfaction, facilities review, budget (if required) and administrative activities within the program. Minimum Education Requirements: Current RN license in the State of Maryland or a compact state BSN required, MSN (or related graduate degree preferred) Specialty certification preferred, required within 1 year of hire Minimum Work Experience Requirements: Minimum of 5 years orthopedic experience preferred Experience with patient/staff satisfaction preferred Proven leadership experience, having managed resources either directly or within the implementation of a new initiative Other Skills and Abilities Required: Strong data analysis skills that require interpretation of clinical results to develop program improvement projects Experience in achieving results and working with process management Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities Strong detail-orientation and follow-up capacity Excellent organizational skills Ability to multitask# Demonstrated success in relationship building Public speaking and presentation skills
