We are currently seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Software Engineer (AWS) to begin an exciting anf challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.
The ideal candidate has a solid background in fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures related to technical assignments related to designing, deploying and supporting AWS Cloud based Solutions, and will hold an AWS Cloud practitioner, Administrator or a Developer certification. Performs work that requires practical experience and training. You will initially work under supervision of more experienced staff. As your experience and knowledge of the client grows, you will be assigned a broader and more complex range of activities and responsibilities. You will have the ability to grow and apply your technical knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
Primary responsibilities will include supporting the ongoing AWS Cloud Solutions (both public cloud and Gov Cloud), contributing in the design if required, and being primarily responsible for supporting all aspects of the AWS based infrastructure for migrated and deployed agency workloads. Will work with AWS, client personnel, users and stakeholders, and other Unisys and 3rd party contractors as required.
Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
In this role you will support development and maintenance of client Cloud based infrastructure on public cloud and government cloud related to the needs of lines of business of a Civilian Federal Agency. You will support large, medium or small projects, and with experience, will lead small projects autonomously, and be responsible for the ongoing support and dealing with stakeholders, CSPs (Cloud Solution Providers) once the system is in production. Collaborates with teams to develop, maintain and support technical and specialized solutions to Cloud based infrastructure client cloud based workloads and including AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
Performs analyses and studies and researches issues and problems. Gathers facts through research, interviewing, surveys, etc. Drives the resolution of any ongoing production, maintenance and support issues in Cloud based Infrastructure and Platforms by interacting with AWS, Microsoft, Google, and the key stakeholders in the Federal Agency and 3rd party contractors. May be called upon to assist in giving presentations, working with Unisys Cloud Architect and Developers for Root Cause Analysis or new features.
Full time position, some travel required, preferably located in the Washington DC area to serve the NOAA Cloud program. May be required to assist with other proposals and delivery efforts for other customers. Experience with Morpheus Cloud Management Platform will be a
Will require certification in AWS (either as practitioner, administrator or developer associate) along with at least two years in developing, deploying and supporting AWS Infrastructure for Cloud solutions. Equivalent experience such as Internships or education related will be taken into account.
U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Management or related field degree or higher and 8 year of experience or equivalent
A minimum of 3 years of experience (including internships) supporting AWS Cloud Infrastructure solutions.
Applicable advance certifications for the specified areas such as AWS (Practitioner, Administrator or Developer).
Experience can be used in lieu of education requirements.

Must be able to pass the equivalent of a Public Trust Moderate (or High Risk) Security Clearance
• Experience working with Federal government customers in support of delivery of information technology services desirable..
• At least two years experience supporting AWS based solutions and infrastructure services across complex, multi-location enterprises.
• Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Microsoft Azure, including Hybrid Cloud Architectures desirable.
• ITIL v3 Foundation Certification desirable as is ITIL v3 Intermediate Level desirable.
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner – Foundational (required)
• AWS Certified Developer (associate) and/or AWS SysOps Administrator (Associate) highly desired
• Experience with Agile development methodologies, ideally working on projects with both worker (internal) and public (external) users is desirable. Scrum Master Certification a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
