The Content Senior Specialist plays a critical role in helping the firm create interactive, visual, and written content that supports marketing program execution in collaboration with industry and service marketers. 

The Content Senior Specialist will interview subject matter experts, conduct secondary research, and write, edit, and develop scripts and storyboards for thought leadership and promotional content across all service lines, including advisory, assurance and tax.

The role requires experience in various forms of content: written, interactive, video, and audio as well as the ability to interpret highly complex content for a variety of audiences.

The role will report to our Senior Manager in Marketing Operations and collaborate closely with our current Content Senior Specialist, our Corporate Marketing team, our Portfolio marketing team, and our partners and subject matter experts throughout the firm.

The candidate should be self-motivated and have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for excellence and yearning for knowledge.  

You will be responsible for:

  • Interviews subject matter experts and/or takes provided resources (recordings, messaging, rough drafts) to develop content (written or video/audio) for the right stage of the buyer cycle.
  • Develops and copyedits thought leadership and collateral that will be used to drive lead generation and brand awareness of our services and industry expertise
  • Understands content objectives and can develop suggestions regarding messaging and direction.
  • Writes and edits promotional content for channels such as email and social media.
  • Provides high-level feedback to internal clients.
  • Builds best practices by using data to inform future content development.
  • Establishes a rapport with internal clients, including digital leads and creative manager.
  • Ensures that content aligns with brand-specific guidelines and restrictions, meets AP Style standards, and regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Contributes to the management of the intake of new content projects and coordinates approvals.

You will need:

  • At least 3-5 years of writing and communications experience, including curating content, for a B2B business (experience with a management consulting or accounting firm preferred)
  • Experience with video storytelling and developing marketing content for nurture campaigns and interactive content based on an understanding of the buyer journey
  • Skilled at taking technical content and developing content for sophisticated audiences
  • Excellent conceptual thinking and writing ability (both long- and short-form content)
  • Flawless grasp of language, grammar, syntax and structure of deliverables, from long-form articles to web copy; excellent proofreading skills with an exceptional eye for detail
  • Efficient and creative; able to uphold quantity and quality standards while contributing new ideas.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and verbal communications skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks on deadline; ability to work independently with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong MS Office and digital media skills
  • Data driven with experience testing different messaging; knowledge of SEO concepts preferred.
