Graphic Design Intern

Food Truck Festivals of America Stoughton, MA (On Site) Full-Time

About the Company

Food Truck Festivals of America is an event company that produces food truck & craft beer festivals throughout the country. We started the company in 2011 producing festivals in the New England area, and have since grown to include festivals in multiple states!

We are a small company with dedicated employees who each offer their own unique set of skills. Being a part of our team means bringing your own skills to the table and collaborating with us to make our festivals the best, most efficient events they can be. We have curated our office space to be a fun environment where we can chat, brainstorm, and eat lunch together.

Our internships are unpaid but we do offer college credit. Applicants must be currently enrolled in college to apply for this position. We require at least 3 days a week, approximately 15+ hours. We prefer that you can commute to our Stoughton, MA office, but offer the option to work remote for part of the week based on your needs. The start date is flexible in January 2023 based on when your classes begin.

Job Responsibilities

Our interns get true hands-on experience. It’s our policy that interns be treated like full-time employees. As a Graphic and Web Design Intern, you will gain experience in:

•        Designing posters, newsletters, and online social materials for each festival (working closely with our copy and social media interns)

•        Creating large banners to hang on tents during festivals

•        Designing graphics for merchandise to be sold during the festivals (T-shirts, koozies, hats, etc.)

•        Analyzing our brand image and developing opportunities to strengthen branding

•        Updating details on our website and redesigning web pages to enhance the user experience (we use Wix, so no coding knowledge needed)

•        You'll work closely with our web and graphic designer to build pages and develop user strategies (creating personas, competitive analysis, user flows, etc.)

•        Experience using design software like the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign)

•        Bonus if you have experience using Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD

We encourage our interns to actively participate in brainstorming efforts and often end up using the creative ideas that they come up with.

As part of the Food Truck Festivals of America team, interns will have the opportunity to interact with the owner of the company on a daily basis. That means they’ll get to work first-hand with a professional who has a collective 30-plus years of experience and is happy to give you guidance.


• College Credit - Our internships are unpaid but we do offer college credit. Applicants must be currently enrolled in college and looking for college credit to apply for this position.

• Part time 15+ hours per week or full-time 30-40 hours per week

• Start date is flexible for January, let us know what is best for you!

• We prefer that you can commute to our Stoughton, MA office, but offer the option to work remote for some of the time if needed.

• Added bonus of being directly involved and attend our New England festivals. Hours working the festival will go towards the hours required to fulfill the college credits. Check our festival schedule on our website for exact dates to make sure you can attend!

About Food Truck Festivals of America

The whole idea for FTFA started back in 2011 when we were reading about this new trend in dining out called “food trucks”. They were big in LA. They were parked in NY. They were hot in DC. They were starting to arrive in New England. Our first festival in Plymouth, MA featured eight trucks…and 4,000 people showed up. We were stunned. Then came our second. 12 trucks and 6,000 people. Then our third. 18 trucks and 10,000 people. At that point, we knew we were onto something and FTFA was born.

Our goal is not only to introduce communities across the country to the booming phenomenon of gourmet food trucks, but to support the small business owners who run them. We aim to create destination events that feature the trucks and the food they serve. So here we are about to create our 2021 tour of festivals…five pounds heavier than we were when this all began in 2011 but confident that food truck fever is here to stay.
