Regional Behavioral Health CMO (West Region)
Location: West Region preferably Pacific or Moutain Time Zone
The Regional CMO (RCMO) will provide clinical leadership and oversight in the Beacon Behavioral Health Regional teams. Advance the cause of behavioral health care by providing clinical and evidence-based thought leadership to policymakers, clients, providers, and other key Behavioral Health stakeholders.
In this key role, you will provide clinical expertise and viewpoint for the Regional leadership team as well as serve as a representative of Beacons clinical vision within the region. Internally serving as the lead Medical clinician and working with the Medical Directors to accomplish Beacons clinical goals, as well as providing matrix leadership to all regional clinical and quality personnel.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Provide leadership and guidance to Regional clinical activities.
Oversee Beacon clinical and quality initiatives and provide evidence-based thought leadership in the clinical area.
Participate fully in the Regional leadership team and provide clinical input and assistance in meeting Regional business goals.
Be a key participant in sales prospecting, RFP proposals, and finalist meetings Lead the quarterly regional clinical and quality meeting.
Contribute to the development of annual clinical programming/strategies for top regional clients.
Advise corporate clinical, product development, MP, etc. if developments in capabilities are necessary to capture clinical trends in the marketplace; as a clinical expert, the RCMO aims to proactively develop creative solutions to improve outcomes for the regional membership.
Supports regional growth efforts by engaging in cultivating new client relationships and selling new contracts, representing Beacons clinical innovation with prospective clients.
Supports alignment between clients clinical needs and Beacons clinical strategy through participation in sales and development activities, advocacy, and ongoing client engagement.
Serves as the clients strategic clinical partner for all matters regarding behavioral healthcare providing perspective on how Beacons products and services can meet their needs.
Fosters Beacons clinical reputation with other key regional stakeholders (elected officials, regulators, providers, etc.).
Assists the Market President, RCPO, Account Executives, Sales Executives, and Government Affairs Executives in advocating with regulators and policymakers.
Identify high-impact speaking engagements to further Beacons clinical thought leadership and reputation in the broader behavioral healthcare community.
MD/DO with American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Certification in Psychiatry
Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine
CA License and/or the ability to obtain
Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
Masters degree within a health profession (e.g., public health, epidemiology, or healthcare administration, etc.).
Progressive leadership experience managing teams with direct and indirect reports
Certified Addictions-Informed Mental Health Professional
Experience working for a Health Plan
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $359,400 to $452,844.
