LANGUAGE PROGRAM MANAGER -STAFF OFFICE SUPPORT OFFICER - LEVEL 3 with Security Clearance
These services will enable effective operations across key components and offices, allowing the NGA to provide timely, relevant, accurate, and actionable geospatial intelligence supporting national security.
Support personnel will be responsible for a wide variety of services, including: ● Responsive and meaningful customer support ● Responding to Career Service inquiries ● Interpreting guidelines ● Tracking and maintaining information ● Coordinating meetings, focus group sessions, and logistical arrangements ● Oral and written communications for internal and external customers ● Support to administrative operations Overview of Responsibilities: ● Provide services as a focal point for foreign language and related testing.
○ Administer and proctor testing.
○ Ensure proper safeguarding of data, assistance in the accountability and maintenance of the NGA Language Lab and testing room equipment, ○ Update PeopleSoft records on all individuals who take the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT), Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI), or DoD-approved foreign language tests.
○ If applicable, administer the DLPT for eligible employees, including federal civilian employees, military personnel, and contractors.
● Schedule the OPI with the Defense Language Institute when applicable ● Complete personnel action requests (PARs) for individuals who qualify for foreign language proficiency pay.
● Collaborate with the other members of HDNDF and coordinate and collaborate with NGA Directorates and Offices to ensure the NGA foreign language-testing program meets their requirements.
● Support HDNDF administration of processes for: ○ Submission of PAR after receipt of test results, where applicable ○ Updating PeopleSoft records ○ Maintaining schedules to complete office suspense ○ Documenting reasons for delay and updating schedules ○ Marketing endeavors include regularly updating training announcements to a webpage and in-person attendance at NGA-sponsored events (NST Conferences, New Employee Orientation, Deployer Conferences, and other briefings/office-related meetings).
○ Back-up for NGA West for course facilitation includes escorting instructors to , receive and distribute materials.
○ Responsible for regularly updating HDNDF’s website and correlative training links.
○ Roundtable Culture and Language Exchange Program (RCLEP) to include maintaining the Wiki and blogs and developing a collaborative site for each group.
○ HDNDF’s point of contact for the New Employee Orientation Seminar (NEOS)—will collaborate with NEOS staff to ensure HDNDF programs are presented to new employees ○ Responsible for maintaining HDNDF’s English enhancement webpage ● Support the HDNDF efforts concerning the NGA Human Geography efforts.
● Collaborate with members of NGA, DoD, and the IC on response to taskers, including data calls metrics, corporate communications, business process improvement, strategic planning, and CONOPs Required Qualifications: ● Active TS/SCI ● At least 12 months of demonstrated experience directly supporting senior leaders’ (General/Flag Officer, SES or corporate equivalent) day-to-day operations ● At least 12 months of demonstrated experience working within the Intelligence Community Desired Qualifications: ● Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) certification ● At least 12 months of demonstrated experience using at least 2 of the following tools - NGA Marketplace, NCERTS, MET and PeopleSoft.
