As a technical editor on our team, you edit tutorials, conceptual material, and architectural diagrams targeted at software developers and IT pros who want to use Cloud Platform to create and implement healthcare and other solutions.
Your primary authors are field sales engineers and solutions architects—they are not professional technical writers, and some might not be writing in their first language. You transform drafts they create for sales engagements and conference presentations into polished technical documentation, manage multiple documents at once, ensure quality and consistency of text, diagrams, code snippets, metadata for SEO, and more. You address legal flags and enforce branding and style guidelines.
5 years of experience editing and managing customer-facing technical content. Experience with information architecture. Experience with editing people for whom writing is not their first responsibility.
BS or equivalent experience in a technical discipline. Familiarity with cloud technologies. Proficiency with HTML and Markdown. Experience with Git and GitHub. Proven ability to manage schedules and priorities and to work with a wide variety of writers—some local, some not.
