We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-driven Corporate Accounting Manager to join our fast-paced finance team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our company's financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all corporate accounting functions, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting. This position requires a strong understanding of financial principles and a sharp attention to detail. Responsibilities:
As a Corporate Accounting Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the daily operations of the corporate accounting department, including the maintenance and control of the general ledger.
2. Coordinating and executing the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and reported on time.
3. Preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management, providing clear insights into the company's financial status and performance.
4. Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, tax, and financial regulations.
5. Collaborating with auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
6. Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance department.
7. Managing and mentoring a team of accounting professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
8. Staying informed on industry trends and changes in regulations, ensuring the company's financial practices remain compliant and up-to-date.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
3. A minimum of 4-8 years of experience in corporate accounting.
4. At least 3 years of experience in public accounting preferred
5. Prior experience in the energy sector is highly desirable.
6. Proficiency in general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.
7. Strong knowledge of financial reporting and regulatory standards.
8. Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
10. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
11. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
