Senior Analyst, Finance - Valuation and Market Analysis

Position Description

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. We own an interest in or operate approximately 84,000 miles of pipelines and 157 terminals. Our pipelines transport natural gas, refined petroleum products, crude oil, condensate, CO2 and other products, and our terminals trans load and store liquid commodities including petroleum products, ethanol and chemicals, and bulk products, including petroleum coke, metals and ores. Degree:  Bachelors Position Description:

This position will be responsible for supporting the Kinder Morgan Energy Transition Ventures (ETV) team with M&A valuations, pricing analysis, market analytics, and supporting new business opportunities.  This position will focus on qualitative and quantitative evaluation of potential acquisitions including the preparation of initial valuation models.  In addition, this person will work to develop pricing models and market analytics around key areas within the Energy Transition space, including RNG, RD, SAF, CCS, and Hydrogen.  The Senior Analyst, ETV will report to the Director of Finance, ETV.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Review and evaluate M&A opportunities, as they occur, and complete cash flow models to determine economic valuation
  • Develop market and pricing analysis across the Energy Transition space to support business development – analyze current technology cost to determine breakeven analysis
  • Assist team in data accumulation, evaluation, processing, and communication of complex commercial strategies and initiatives across the Energy Transition space
  • Review various analysis for QBRs, board slide, Long Rang Outlook, Forecasting/Budgeting and other business needs

Position Requirements

 Job Requirements:

  • Finance/Accounting/Economics degree and a minimum of two years in finance/commercial/banking
  • MBA preferred
  • Strong technical proficiency in business systems (advanced understanding of Excel)
  • Self-starter with strong organization skills
  • Strong fundamental understanding of accounting and financial principles
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across a range of markets
